Vaishali Sahasrabudhe is the Head of Pharmacometrics and Systems Pharmacology in Translational Clinical Sciences at Pfizer, based in Groton, CT. She leads a high-performing team of pharmacometricians, systems modelers, and pharmacokinetic analysts that provide end-to-end quantitative and mechanistic modeling expertise to project teams to inform drug development decisions and deliver better outcomes for patients. Vaishali joined Pfizer in 2002 holding positions in Pharmacokinetics, Dynamics and Metabolism and in Clinical Pharmacology. Most recently, she was the head of Clinical Pharmacology for Internal Medicine and Inflammation & Immunology therapeutic areas. Prior to joining Pfizer, Vaishali held positions of increasing responsibility in Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics and Clinical Discovery at Bristol-Myers Squibb.
During her career in the pharmaceutical industry, Vaishali has contributed to programs across multiple therapeutic areas and has experience across all phases of drug development (Phase 1-4). Her interests include the application of PK/PD principles, innovative study designs, and implementation of quantitative approaches to strategy and decision-making in drug development. She holds a Bachelor of Pharmaceutical Sciences from The Bombay College of Pharmacy, India and a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutics from The University of Texas at Austin.
