Tom Matthews, Xentria

Tom Matthews has held various positions in clinical research in the industry and academic settings. Prior to joining Xentria, Tom interventional pulmonology research at Olympus Corporation. His research career began at Lurie Children’s Hospital, focusing on cystic fibrosis and asthma therapeutics. Tom is a Registered Respiratory Therapist and holds a Bachelor of Science in Respiratory Care from Indiana University and a Master of Public Health from Benedictine University.

In his 5 and a half years at Xentria, he has worked to build the clinical development and operations infrastructure from the ground up. This includes a rapid portfolio expansion from one novel product in one region to a portfolio of multiple biosimilars, with ongoing clinical trials in 11 countries and 3 regions, with plans for further expansion of novel and biosimilar products.

In his role, Tom oversees Clinical Operations, Clinical Strategy, Medical Writing, CMC/Clinical Supply Chain, Biometrics, and Pharmacovigilance. Tom is based in Chicago, Illinois.
