Rajarshi Guha, Vertex Pharmaceuticals

Rajarshi Guha is a Senior Director within Data & Computational Sciences at Vertex Pharmaceuticals, where he leads the Data & Methods group, responsible for capability development across small molecules, genomics, imaging, statistics and machine learning to address questions arising in disease programs across the entire portfolio. With over 20 years of experience in handling, analyzing, and visualizing scientific data, he has developed novel algorithms for the analysis and visualization of chemical data types, large scale infrastructure projects (Pharos, BARD), and worked on small molecule screening programs for rare cancers and infectious diseases. He has contributed to the Open Source cheminformatics community as well as the ACS Division of Chemical Information. His work has led to over 140 peer-reviewed publications and more than 30 invited lectures over the last decade. Prior to joining Vertex he held positions at the NIH and the School of Informatics at Indiana University, Bloomington.
