Benjamin Lee, MD, PhD, Crossbow

Benjamin Lee has served as Crossbow’s Head of Translational Medicine since September 2023. Ben brings more than two decades of scientific, clinical, and operational expertise to the role. He started his career as a staff pathologist and attending physician at Brigham and Woman’s Hospital in Boston, before transitioning to industry. There, he took on increasingly senior roles at Novartis Institutes for Biomedical Research (NIBR), including head of Molecular Pathology, and at Takeda as a medical director. Prior to joining Crossbow, Ben was Vice President at Surface Oncology where he was Head of Translational Science.

Ben earned his medical degree and his doctorate degree in molecular genetics and microbiology from SUNY at Stony Brook, and his bachelor’s degree in molecular biology from Princeton University. Ben conducted his postgraduate training at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School.
