Fred Bermont, Moderna

Fred Bermont is Senior Director of Clinical Data Standards & Integration at Moderna, where he leads enterprise initiatives to advance data standardization, governance, and technology-driven innovation across clinical development. With extensive experience in the biopharmaceutical industry, he focuses on leveraging metadata, automation, and scalable processes to improve data quality, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency.

Prior to joining Moderna, Fred held key roles at organizations including Biogen and Shire, where he led standards development, CDASH implementation, and therapeutic area standardization efforts. His background spans clinical database development, data standards governance, and study design, giving him a comprehensive perspective across the clinical data lifecycle.

Fred holds a master’s degree in Computer Information Systems from Boston University and a bachelor’s degree in Applied Psychology from Ithaca College. He is a recognized contributor to advancing clinical data standards and frequently shares insights on improving data integration and innovation in clinical trials.
