Lindsay Clegg, PhD, is a Group Director of Clinical Pharmacology & Pharmacometrics at AstraZeneca. She earned her PhD in biomedical engineering from Johns Hopkins University, focused on QSP modeling of angiogenesis. She joined AstraZeneca in 2017, first as a postdoctoral fellow and then as a pharmacometrician. She has worked in and published across cardiovascular, renal, metabolic, respiratory, and infectious disease, with techniques spanning QSP, popPK/PD modeling and simulation, statistical analyses of clinical data, and AI/ML. She is currently leads a team in the Vaccines & Immune Therapies and PBPK Modeling group of the Clinical & Quantitative Pharmacology department at AstraZeneca. Lindsay recently supported key regulatory submissions on monoclonal antibodies for passive immunization against RSV and COVID-19. She is also engaged in efforts to apply machine learning and AI in the clinical pharmacology field, and chairs the Soft Skills and Communication Working Group for the Education Committee of the International Society of Pharmacometrics.
