Matt is currently an Associate Vice President in the department of Pharmacokinetics, Dynamics, Metabolism, and Bioanalytics (PDMB) at Merck, responsible for strategy and execution of lab modernization and data automation, translational modeling, and external sourcing. Prior to moving into his current role, Matt spent 15 years in the department of Quantitative Pharmacology & Pharmacometrics (QP2) also at Merck. Matt received his BS from Cornell University and his PhD from UCLA, both in Chemical Engineering with research focused in the areas of metabolic engineering and synthetic biology. He has had the privilege of contributing to the development of six different approved medicines, including a personal highlight of taking RECARBRIO from first-in-human through approval. Matt is a past President of ASCPT and serves on the journal editorial boards of both Clinical Pharmacology & Therapeutics (CPT) and Clinical and Translational Science (CTS).
