Dr. Pegy Foteinou is a Senior Director at Bristol-Myers Squibb leading the early-stage mechanistic pharmacology modeling group within the Quantitative Pharmacology and Data analytics (QPDA) that is part of Translational Medicine and Clinical Pharmacology. She has over a decade of biopharmaceutical experience in de-risking and advancing the pipeline using innovative MIDD strategies. Specifically, her group focuses on integrating knowledge and multimodal data on drug pharmacology and pathobiology in a mechanistic manner and across multiple dug modalities and therapeutic areas. This facilitates decision making in target discovery, translational pharmacology and early clinical development. Beyond her functional role and expertise, she has also been a key contributor to cross-functional strategic collaborations and initiatives as well as taking a Tour of Duty in matrix leadership and global drug development. Overall, her background is interdisciplinary. She holds a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from Rutgers University and carried out two postdoctoral fellowships at University of California, Santa Barbara and the Institute for Computational Medicine at Johns Hopkins University. She is the recipient of several recognitions with most recent awards for innovation, passion as well as accountability and exceptional teamwork.
